Delft, 1632 – Delft, 1675

Dutch Golden Age painter who spent his whole life in Delft. Only about 35 works are attributed to him, almost all quiet interiors with one or two figures lit by a window. He was rediscovered in the 19th century and is now considered one of the great masters of light.
